axolotl - concept 01

This is so different from what I usually draw. 0_o

Assignment for one of my concept art classes. Supposed to draw out a visual from one of three stories we read. All three were pretty abstract and... weird. But this one talked about axolotl's having little Aztec faces, so there they are. The disc is supposed to have some sort of Aztec insignia on it, but we weren't allowed to look at reference material yet...
